Ecology, Evolution and Engineering of Host-Associated Microbiomes
The realization that microbial communities, associated with virtually all multicellular organisms, have tremendous impact on their hosts’ health and development is considered one of the most important scientific discoveries in the last decade. Our research focuses on the ecology, evolution and engineering of host-associated microbial communities. Through novel experimental and computational approaches, we aim to unravel the complexity of microbial worlds in new dimensions and achieve targeted microbiome engineering.
